Guidelines

  • The internship aims at exposing the students to the various challenges in the country and creating a platform for working together with the corporate to innovate new ideas to develop the country.
  • It also aims at building masses of responsible citizens and future leaders of the country.
  • It is a team based project program where the projects have socially relevant topics.
  • Each individual in the team is expected to work about 5-6 hours a week without fail.
  • The Volunteer Program is tailored for the juniors in the college, where they as an external support work with the teams and help them in their projects.
  • The Research Program is for the seniors in the college, where they form teams of 4-5 students and work on a specific project. The project can be of Regional or National importance.
  • The Leadership Program is for the Team Leaders, where they will be groomed in their leadership qualities and soft skills. Also, provisions of special workshops to improve the individual skills and talks by eminent personalities will be a part of the program to develop the personality of the students. There will be one team leader for each group and is preferably the most senior student but not from the passing out batch.
  • The Research and Leadership Program are divided into two parts. One is the Regional/College level and second is the National Level. Based on the skills and capabilities of the students they will be divided in the respective Regional/College or National teams.
  • Each team will have an assigned mentor who will guide the students throughout the project.
  • The teams will be required to present their work twice in a year. One at the College Level before the summer vacations (around May) and other at the national level (around December), when all the teams from different colleges share their achievements and learning.
  • Rakshak Foundation’s CSI internship program is very rigorous, serious and fast paced. It requires full dedication and attention of interns for the entire internship period.
  • During the internship period, Rakshak intern will only pursue this internship, no other side projects or internship will be allowed.
  • Students interested in pursuing internship opportunities must meet the Foundation’s expectations all through the program. They should strive for and demonstrate high level of sincerity and honesty in their research work and interactions.
  • Each team will be assigned with individual project related to an issue of social or national importance.
  • Projects will be assigned before the start of the internship and cannot be changed. Since projects are on diverse topics, it is likely that the topic may be entirely new to the intern.
  • Each team needs to maintain a rough log-book in which they would note down any and all information directly so as to serve as a record of activities in a chronological sequence.
  • Each team shall be required to submit a Final Project Report as a soft copy by the completion of the project period and present their work in their respective colleges and also at the inter team levels.
  • Each team shall communicate with the mentor/supervisor at least once every week.
  • The contents of the Reports and the findings shall be the property of the foundation. They can be communicated to any journal/magazine or media only after obtaining the permission of the Foundation and shall be required to acknowledge the role of the Foundation in the work. The Foundation on its part shall acknowledge the contribution of the concerned intern(s) whenever their work is published or communicated.
  • Teams must certify that the research report and its content work is original work, which is not published anywhere. Any of the content of the report if lifted from anywhere else, must contain the detailed reference to its original author and location.
